Trump Says He Doesn’t Want Poor People In Charge Of The Economy

#Scrotus: “These are people that are great, brilliant business minds, and that’s what we need, that’s what we have to have so the world doesn’t take advantages of us,” Trump told the crowd in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. “We can’t have the world taking advantage of us anymore. And I love all people, rich or poor, but in those particular positions I just don’t want a poor person. Does that make sense? Does that make sense?“

Me: He really doesn’t understand that a smart, competent person might choose service to community over financial self-enrichment. He doesn’t get that some of us have other priorities, such as a deep commitment to service to our communities and to the greater good. Social workers, teachers, social justice activists and warriors, those who have chosen a career in the public sector, and so many more: I’m talking about you. And furthermore wealth is so much more about opportunity than it is about intelligence. #Scrotus still believes that he is a “self-made man.” His lens is so dangerously narrow.
